I did everything in the wrong order. Started with being a housewife with four small children and then to study as an interior designer with a Master in commercial space.

Worked as cruise architect, project manager in a speciality retail store chain, then as a property manager at a real estate company.

But now I am here as an “ex-pat” in Texas with my husband. I make handcrafted jewellery of silver and natural stones, work in the garden, walk or run with the dogs.

Been a keen gardening enthusiast since I was very small. Coming from a family with three generations of hardy garden growers in the northern part of Norway, I have always been active in my own garden. My focus is on a practical, pragmatic and truthful approach to life and gardening challenges.

Since my academic background is in design disciplines, I do focus on colours and aesthetics, but my main wish is that people should find greater quality in life. Being physically active by being more outdoors, be inspired to cultivate or plant, cook good food from scratch, doing nice and simple things that give us satisfaction both as a family and/or as an individual.

Take care of ourselves and our families in an environment-friendly way are both a great pleasure and a duty.

Just now I live and grows a garden in Houston, Texas and at our cottage at Orust, Sweden. My husband Hamre takes a lot of the photographs on my blog.

I am graduated from Oslo National Academy of the Arts as an Interior and furniture designer, Master in commercial rooms.
